Shopped Till I Dropped

I haven't written in a few days. One because I've been a busy bee, but two, because blogger has been a PIA.

Monday I went shopping with C. and the good news is that I am no longer a 14. The bad news is that 12s are a tiny tight still. I'm hoping I can lose a few more lbs., really 2 would probably do it, so I can buy some new pants for my defense.

I did buy my Chico's outfit, and I really like it, especially since I'm kind of between sizes now, but it just doesn't seem like a dissertation defense sort of outfit, so I'm going with the business casual, sort of preppy look, kakhis, button down shirt, jacket, small heeled shoes.

More later, maybe. This is going to be a killer month for me!

Dropping nearly an entire size is nothing to scoff at!

I think that how clothes fit is a better judge of how you're doing that what the scale may say.

Yes, I've learned that the hard way. The scale can be an evil master.

Tammy,

You didn't look like a size 14 to me. You looked smaller.

I am starting off weight loss really slow. Basically, I have not been eating after 7 p.m. It's 11:13 p.m. right now..I had class tonight and I am STARVING. How can a chubnick like me be starving?I have also been trying to incorporate more vegetables into my diet. I got sick the other day and my immediate thought was "I knew it! Vegetables DO kill!" I should have dropped the veggies and ran for a donut...to save my life.

I went to bed hungry last night too and actually dreamed about food. How pathetic is that?

Oh man..I think I'm going to die over here if I don't get any food. I'm crack'n. Even little Zoe Stageman is starting to look mighty tasty right about now.

That's part of my problem. I never "look" has heavy as I am. I really should be around an 8 or even six. Eating late is a major problem with me. That's why I started crocheting at night while I watch TV. It has helped some.

Tammy,

If you look like an 8 or 6,why try to actually BE an 8 or 6?

Well, because I can't get down to a 4!

No, really, the extra weight is uncomfortable for me. At a real "8", I feel much more active and comfortable with my body.
